New building distribution centre HelloFresh, Bleiswijk
On 12 October, the first pile was driven in Bleiswijk for the new building for HelloFresh. The design of this new building is based on a very interesting logistics process of freezing, cooling and ambient spaces. Pelecon was engaged as structural engineer early on in the design process.
New building distribution centre Appelweg, Moerdijk
Commissioned by logistics investor Exeter Property Group, Heembouw developed and built a logistics DC on Appelweg in Moerdijk. Early in the development process, Pelecon was engaged as main structural engineer. We were closely involved in this project right up to completion.
Redevelopment new housing estate Sterrenwachtlaan, Leiden
A project at a unique location in Leiden, with various types of housing and a residential tower with parking basement. Sounds like an inspiring assignment for a structural engineer! And it was, because the tower is full of structural challenges; also because floors have been merged. Our colleague Eric Noorduin, who also has a personal connection with this spot in Leiden, is happy to tell you more about it.
Boat shed Neveritaweg, Amsterdam
An unusual building with a simple appearance. Pelecon was allowed to work on this project together with Beta Architects. A simple construction with many possibilities for the future. With huge sliding doors to bring the boats inside. Doors lined with wood that is also widely used in shipbuilding. With lifting facilities to lift boats up for maintenance.
New building NewLogic III, Tilburg
An award for the best new-build, remodelling or renovation project in the Netherlands or abroad that is carried out entirely or partly in steel: not just any award! We won that prize! The ‘New Logic III’ project in Tilburg met all the requirements that a steel award winner must meet in the “Industrial Building” category.
The National Steel Prize has existed since 1971 and is awarded every two years to five projects within five categories. These are: non-residential construction, industrial construction, residential construction, infrastructure and characteristic steel building components. Eligible projects must, among other things, be made entirely or partly of steel. The winning project New Logic III met all the requirements! Partners Pelecon structural engineers, Heembouw and Reijrink Staalconstructie, commissioned by DOKVAST (investor and developer of high-quality and sustainable real estate), developed this special project for tenant Rhenus Logistics.

New building distribution centre Albert Heijn, Zaandam
As a structural engineer, we are involved in the first mechanised distribution centre of supermarket chain Albert Heijn. From this Albert Heijn distribution centre in Zaandam, more than 300 shops are supplied with fresh and perishable products twice a day.
