A beautiful building, full of challenges for us as structural engineers. This is how we describe the new headquarters of the Nederlandse Coöperatieve Vereniging van Makelaars en Taxateurs in onroerende goederen (NVM).

A gem of a building it is, according to Henk van Vliet. "The outside of the building is covered in wood, even the pattern of the different wooden panels was completely thought out by the architect. These almost completely cover "our" work. Because although it looks like a building made of wood, underneath the panels there is a full concrete structure. We calculated this together with Stabiel Prefab Project Management."

Henk explains that the wood inside can also be found in all floors of the building; "again in a pattern prescribed by the architect. The glass roof, which owes its sturdiness to a beautiful steel structure, provides a fine incidence of light. In short: a pleasant place for future users. We wish all NVM colleagues every success at their new workplace."
