A new municipal yard and waste transfer station for Papendrecht municipality Papendrecht will get a new municipal yard that fully meets all the requirements of both functionality and sustainability. According to alderman Arno Janssen, ‘the new municipal yard will be one of the most sustainable in the country’.

The waste transfer station will have a logical and functional layout, creating more space and ensuring better flow. The building will be fitted with over 270 solar panels. The fire brigade will also move to the site. In this way, the municipality will realise a contemporary, sustainable facility where the employees of the municipal waste disposal site can do their work well and which is virtually energy-neutral.
