New departure hall RTHA

Because Rotterdam The Hague Airport’s old 1970 departure hall was outdated and becoming too small, a need arose for a new terminal. A terminal with a much larger capacity, but which had to fit in well with the character and image of the airport. Not a megalomaniac anonymous building, but a pleasant building with plenty of daylight, designed to make passengers feel comfortable. A sustainable building too, including a mossedum roof.

Municipal yard, Papendrecht

A new municipal yard and waste transfer station for Papendrecht municipality Papendrecht will get a new municipal yard that fully meets all the requirements of both functionality and sustainability. According to alderman Arno Janssen, ‘the new municipal yard will be one of the most sustainable in the country’.

Fire station Rotterdam The Hague Airport

Pelecon has been doing construction work for Rotterdam The Hague Airport for 20 years. Besides the departure hall, Pelecon is also collaborating on the construction of the fire station. “We did our utmost, with respect for the design by Moen & van Oosten Architects and drawing on our broad experience, to come up with the best and most beautiful structural design possible for the fire station,” says Piet Peters of Pelecon.

Roelof Venema Broad School, Amstelveen

An upstairs gymnasium was a nice challenge within this project. So was the application of vegetable bins on the roofs. Pelecon advised the municipality of Amstelveen on constructions.
