Internship with a great added value!

ANNUAL THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR 38 PERCENT OF TOTAL CO2 EMISSIONS. THERE IS A LOT OF PROFIT TO BE GAINED ON ITS REDUCTION IN THIS SECTOR. THIS IS WHY OUR TRAINEE BAS VAN DEN DOOL WILL EXAMINE HOW WE CAN CONTRIBUTE TO REDUCE CO2 EMISSIONS WITH OUR CONSTRUCTIVE DESIGNS FROM DISTRIBUTION CENTERS IN THE FIRST INSTANCE.

Bas is a student in the “Spatial Development and Climate Management” course at The Hague University of Applied Sciences and is extremely interested in how far we, as a constructor / modeller, can reduce CO2 emissions through the use of more sustainable materials and policy adjustments. That is why he researches breakthrough techniques in the production process, as well as design choices for both concrete and steel.

RESEARCH QUESTIONS

Bas studies which CO2-reducing developments affect concrete and steel structures. In addition, Bas wants to know which changes in policy and design lead to CO2 savings on the realization of building structures.

A RELEVANT RESEARCH

Interesting and for us an extremely relevant study. Bas will present the results to us around 23 April, we look forward to it. Because “sustainability” is a subject that we deal with on a daily basis and in which we continue to delve further. Ultimately, we want to contribute to reducing those CO2 emissions, are you participating?
