At the beginning of this year we told about a new DC project from Lidl Netherlands, where Peters & van Leeuwen has been appointed as the main constructor for the entire complex. A high-quality project where the stakes are high: the aim is to exceed the Breeam-NL Outstanding score of DC Waddinxveen by using high-quality techniques.

For example, there is a wide application of solar panels and a windmill will be built for generating energy. This energy will partly be used for cooling and freezer rooms, among other things. The unused part will be stored in batteries for use at times when the energy supply is low. The construction design is characterized by a wide application of precast concrete for the columns, walls and floors and the use of steel for the roof construction. Large spans have been designed in the hall to hinder the logistics process as little as possible.

Lidl Oosterhout (GLD) is the 7th Lidl distribution center in the Netherlands. Would you like to know more about the progress of this project? Follow us on www.pelecon.nl.
